Every Velox Stitched cover starts with the same belief: that craftsmanship is the only shortcut worth taking. Here's an unfiltered look at what happens between your order and your doorstep.
We operate from our Worksop, Nottinghamshire workshop — a dedicated trimming studio where each piece is cut, prepared, and hand-stitched by our master trimmers. No outsourcing, no batch processing. Your build is someone's full focus for the day.

Quality Check

Every cover begins with precision pattern-cutting. We use OEM steering wheel templates derived from factory specs to guarantee a factory-level fit. No guessing, no trimming at install.

Alcantara, Nappa leather, and perforated leather panels are conditioned, stretched, and pre-shaped before any stitching begins. Rushing this stage is where lesser workshops fail.

Our master trimmers hand-stitch every seam using waxed thread matched to your chosen colour. Each stitch is placed with consistent tension — machine-stitched covers cannot replicate this.

Every finished piece goes through a 12-point quality check before dispatch. Stitch tension, seam alignment, material surface, and fitment are all inspected under workshop lighting.

Tools & SetupThe traditional hand-stitching method used in luxury goods. Two needles pass through the same hole from opposite sides — far stronger than any machine stitch and will not unravel if a thread breaks.
All our thread is pre-waxed for friction resistance and longevity. The wax coating protects against moisture, UV degradation, and abrasion — critical for steering wheel covers that endure daily contact.
Every stitch is placed at identical tension by hand. This creates the clean, regular pattern that defines a professional finish. Machine-sewn covers cannot achieve the same result on a curved surface.
